Email Friend Contact Author (iHealthWire.Org) – The Australian School of Meditation and Yoga has formed a partnership with the Gold Coast City Council’s Active and Healthy Program to offer the Gold Coast community a wide range of healthy living programs based on the yoga lifestyle.
“I was shocked to see recent statistics rating Australia as a fatter nation than America,” said Ray Linsley, program coordinator for the Australian School of Meditation and Yoga. “But there are positive steps people can take and that’s what our yoga and meditation programs are all about.” Starting July 21, Australian School of Meditation and Yoga roll out a variety of new yoga and meditation activities across the Coast, including early morning yoga in the park, yoga and meditation in local libraries and in community centres. Best of all, the Active and Healthy programs are free or run by donation. “Yoga and meditation are for everyone,” said Ray Linsley, “It’s the ideal way to find your healthy weight and unlike other weight loss and exercise programs, it is a complete system for mental and physical health.” The Australian School of Meditation and Yoga is a non-profit community organization that has been offering the benefits of meditation and yoga to the Gold Coast community for over 20 years.
